The Tort-Kol Rural Municipality is located in the northeastern part of Uzgen District, Osh Region. The municipality consists of 13 settlements with a total population of 28,191 residents. The administrative center of the municipality is located in Jylaldy village.
Territorial Overview
The Tort-Kol Rural Municipality was established in March 2024 as part of the administrative-territorial reform implemented in the Kyrgyz Republic. The municipality occupies a strategically favorable location in the northeastern part of Uzgen District and maintains convenient transportation links with the district center and neighboring communities.
The territory is situated at an altitude of 720 meters above sea level and covers a total area of 20.9 square kilometers. The nearest railway station is located 66 kilometers away, while the nearest airport is approximately 76 kilometers from the municipality.

As of January 1, 2026, the Tort-Kol Rural Municipality includes 5,574 households and a total population of 28,191 residents. Of this number, 14,630 are men and 13,561 are women.

Age and Ethnic Composition
The number of children under the age of 15 is 8,856. The municipality also has a significant working-age population, which serves as the foundation of its social and economic development. The majority of residents are ethnic Kyrgyz, while representatives of other nationalities also live within the municipality.
